Voices of Conviction and Courage

Showcasing stories of Biola alumni around the world.

As part of Biola University's comprehensive fundraising campaign, our Advancement team wanted to showcase what Biola's alumni were doing — across a variety of fields, vocations, and locations.

My team and I were tasked with traveling across the nation (and even to Canada!) to shoot these stories. Most shoots involved a crew of 4 — myself, two of the video producers on my team, and a representative from Advancement.

This series was primarily shot on the original Sony a7S, with Atomos recorders to allow 4K ProRes capture. As a result of this series, I became an expert at packing luggage to 49.9 lbs and cramming as much camera gear into a plane-overhead-friendly Pelican as possible.

Back in the office, I led my team through the editing and revision process of these videos to meet our Advancement team's needs.

It was truly a delight to travel to so many places across North America and meet so many people doing such great work.
